Alfred Löw-Beer gave his daughter Grete Tugendhat a gift of the plot in the upper part of the land behind the so-called Löw-Beer Villa for the construction of their house on 15th of March 1929. Grete Tugendhat applied for building permission on 22nd of April 1929 which was issued on 26th of October 1929 on the basis of this application and its approval on 6th of August 1929. The Brno construction company of Artur and Mořic Eisler began the building in June 1929.
