ECHOES – 100 YEARS OF FINNISH DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE
The exhibition BRNO and SUOMI by the Brno City Museum and the Villa Tugendhat Study and Documentation Centre presents through several examples the relations between the Moravian metropolis, represented in this case by the architect František Kalivoda and the Finnish protagonists of the artistic, cultural and social events (Alvar and Aino Aalto, Nils Gustav Hahl, etc.), taking place between the world wars. The exhibition also includes original furniture designed by Alvar Aalto.
The Echoes – 100 Years of Finnish Design and Architecture exhibition, prepared by the Embassy of Finlad PRAHA, celebrates the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence (1917–2017) through an eye-catching account of Finnish design and architecture.
