On Friday, 13 November 2015 a gala concert took place in the Villa Tugendhat, performed by the winners of the first edition of the Vlastimil Lejsek International Music Competition. A competition named after a great personality in Brno’s musical life Vlastimil Lejsek is designed for piano duos aged 6–21. Competition pieces consist mainly of works by prominent Czech, Moravian and Slovak composers in order to inspire contemporary composers to write new works and celebrate Czech musical tradition.

The patronage over the competition was held by Ms. Věra Lejsková, a pioneer of piano duets in the Czech Republic. The competition is co-organized by the PETROF piano company, the traditional Czech piano manufacturer with a hundred and fifty years tradition that provided instruments for the contest. The Villa Tugendhat's piano is also a PETROF.

The Gala Concert in the Villa Tugendhat was opened by the artistic director of the Vlastimil Lejsek International Music Competition and the President of the Intercultural Creative Life Association, Ms. Ema Jedlička- Gogová; it was also personally attended by Mrs Vera Lejsková and Ms. Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová, the great-granddaughter of the founder of the famous piano brand manufacturing, Antonín Petrof, and Ivana Petrofová, the Director of the Petrof Piano Museum.
