In addition to standard commented tours, we offer various educational programmes in the autumn months of 2021, which present the villa, its architect and owners to pupils and students, with a presentation whose content and form takes the age of the audience into consideration. Young visitors are encouraged to actively perceive and to authentically express their views according to the specific programme. It is an appropriate extension of art education, history, civic education, natural history as well as Czech language and literature at primary schools and the equivalent of these subjects at schools of a higher level.
Through object-focused learning, pupils and students are encouraged in critical thinking and also considering the Villa Tugendhat and its creator in domestic and international cultural and historical contexts. The instructor tries to present this significant work of architecture to pupils and students from different perspectives, depending on the particular type of programme selected in advance by their teacher.
These educational programmes were devised by Mgr. Alice Křížová Stuchlíková, Ph.D. and they are presented by the author together with Bc. Ludmila Haasová and Bc. Barbora Slivová.
The events are recorded in both audio and video formats for purposes of popularization, education and research.

The event takes place as part of the activities of the Villa Tugendhat Study and Documentation Centre..
The activity sheets resulted from a project by students of Gallery Pedagogy and Presentation of Art at the Department of Art of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in the spring semester of 2014 (taught by Alice Stuchlíková) and they are an output of a project titled „The Educational Role of the National Heritage Institute: Education as a Key Tool to Improve the Care of Cultural Heritage of the Czech Republic (DF12P01OOV014).
Materials for both educational programmes focused i.a. on the German Bauhaus art school were prepared in cooperation with students of the Art History Seminar of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno in the spring semester of 2019 (also taught by A. Křížová Stuchlíková).
