In addition to the standard commented tours, we offer various educational programmes in the autumn months of 2018 which present the villa, its architect and owners to pupils and students, with a presentation whose content and form takes the age of the audience into consideration. Young visitors are encouraged to actively perceive and to authentically express their views according to the specific programme. It is an appropriate extension of art education, history and civic education.

Through object-focused learning, the pupils and students are led to critical thinking and to the inclusion of the Villa Tugendhat and its creator in domestic and international cultural contexts. The instructor tries to present this significant work of architecture to pupils and students from different perspectives, depending on the particular type of programme selected by their teacher in advance.

The educational programmes were devised by Mgr. Alice Stuchlíková, Ph.D. and they are presented by Mgr. Alice Křížová Stuchlíková, Ph.D., and Mgr. Kristýna Navrátilová.

The events are recorded in both audio and video formats for popularization, educational and research purposes. Some of the meetings will be attended by History of Arts students from the Philosophical Faculty, Masaryk University in the role of assistants (Art Mediation in Creative Practice seminar).
