11 June – 6 October 2019

The exhibition of this year's Pritzker Prize winner, Aato Isozaki, a unique collection of sketches and drawings, presents the story of the birth of the iconic Museum of Japanese Art and Manggha in Krakow. The timid idea and private resources of the Polish film director Andrzej Wajda with the support and collaboration of Arata Isozaki and Krzysztof Ingarden grew into an object that is an impressive example of an ordinary human initiative that not only materialized but still radiates the kind of inspiring courage and energy that is so needed for the improving transformation of everything that surrounds us.
