May film screening from our film screening series in the glass room of the Villa Tugendhat will take the audience to Czechoslovakia of the 1930’s. The comedy “Lelíček Serving Sherlock Holmes” is without a doubt the most famous title of director Karel Lamač. The comedy became famous thanks to the starring couple, Vlasta Burian and Lída Baarová, who played the title roles. The story presents František Lelíček (Vlasta Burian), who is visited by the famous English detective Sherlock Holmes (Martin Frič) who employs him as a double of the Puerto Rican king Ferdinand XXIII. A favourite comedy full of stars of the silver screen from the ‘First Republic’, will be shown in the glass room of Villa Tugendhat from 8 p.m.
