The series of regular screenings in the Villa Tugendhat will be launched in 2017 by a legend of silent movies, Safety Last! The film from 1923, where Harold Lloyd excels in the main role as one of the most famous actors of his time, introduces viewers to New York of the 1920’s. The hero comes from a small American town to the city to climb the corporate ladder and thus impress his sweetheart. Therefore he finds employment at a large department store, where however his career or social progress is not entirely to his liking and he gets into financial difficulties. With one of the friends you therefore think that their problems are solved by jointly peak at one of New York skyscrapers. That end of the film, when Harold Lloyd climbs the facade of the skyscraper has become one of the most famous in the history of silent film. Screenings will be accompanied by live music played by Lukáš Klempa aka NNY.
