The regular screening cycle at the Villa Tugendhat continues in August by a screening which is included in the OKUPACE 68 project, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. The screening features the ‘vaulted’ film “The Joke” directed by Jaromil Jireš, which based on the famous novel of the same name by Milan Kundera. Josef Somr, Jana Dítětová and Luděk Munzar are starring as the key characters. The screening will take place in the technical basement of the villa, complemented by a period-styled bar where the audience can buy refreshments.
