As the date of 1 October 2019 when the reservation system will be opened for the first half of 2020 is approaching, we would like to inform you of some changes we are preparing for the coming year.

1. Change of opening hours

Due to the daylight conditions in the winter months, Villa Tugendhat will now have two types of  opening hours. It will also be open on Tuesdays in January and February. The new opening hours are valid from 1 January 2020:

Opening hours November – December 2019 + March – October 2020
Tuesday – Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM (last entry at 5.30)

Opening house January, February, November, December 2020
Tuesday – Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM (last entry at 4.30)

2. Changes in admission prices

For the first time since 2012, there will be changes in entrance fees at Villa Tugendhat. With the exception of the entrance fee to the garden, which is kept (i.e. 50 CZK / person), all types of entrance fees have been slightly adjusted. The new prices valid from 1 January 2020 are as follows:

a) Basic tour (60 minutes)
Full ticket: 350 CZK / person
Reduced ticket: 200 CZK / person
Family ticket (i.e. 1–2 adults and 1–2 children under 15 years): 800 CZK

b) Extended tour (90 minutes)
Full ticket: 400 CZK / person
Reduced ticket: 250 CZK / person
Family ticket (ie 1–2 adults and 1–2 children under 15 years): 950 CZK

c) Garden (admission is part of both the Basic and Extended tours)
Admission: 50 CZK / person

3. For which dates I can buy a ticket?

On 1 October, all dates from January to June 2020 will be made available. The following months will be made available for reservation on a continuous basis, i.e. month by month, and it will be possible to purchase tickets for the next 6 months. Specifically, the dates will be opened as follows:

1 January 2020 – 30 June

1 February – 31 July

1 March – 31 August

1 April – 30 September

1 May – 31 October

1 June – 30 November

1 July – 31 December

1 August – 31 January 2021 etc.

4. How to simply book your ticket on 1 October?

From 0:01 on 1 October 2019, tickets will be available ONLINE directly on the Villa Tugendhat website (HERE), so if you are planning to visit as an individual visitor (i.e. 1–15 people), the easiest way to buy tickets is this way. For group visits (i.e. 16 persons or more), please use the procedure described in the ONLINE TICKET SALE section.

5. Sale of gift vouchers for tours

Due to the high number of gift vouchers that remain unused every year and other operational complications, the number of gift vouchers for tours in 2020 will be limited to a maximum of 200. An alternative is to purchase a tour ticket for a specific date and hour via the online ticket sale.

6. New rental prices

The new rental price list, valid from 1 January 2020, in which new rental categories were created and at the same time the prices were adjusted (this is also the first change since 2012) can be found HERE.
