Representatives of Villa Tugendhat received the Czech Superbrands Award 2013 at a gala Superbrands Tribute Event 2013, which was held on 3 October 2013 in Prague Hilton Hotel.

The Superbrands project originated in Great Britain as a BBC Radio London show. It is currently known in 88 countries. The selection of brands in the Czech Republic was conducted in four stages. The Czech Patent Office released a database of approximately one million registered trade marks, out of which fifty thousand most respected ones were earmarked. The Swedish company Bisnode, specializing in business intelligence, created a shortlist of two thousand brands from among these. GfK then conducted a consumer survey with this list. Based on that, a selection was narrowed down to 800 famous brands, from which the 14-member Superbrands jury chose the total of 25 winners.

Superbrands Council in the Czech Republic consists of representatives of companies and experts in the field of communications and marketing, which include of Jan Binar from McCann, Zdeněk Lokaj from Hill + Knowlton Strategies, Regional Manager for MF Dnes Veselin Vačkov, Pavel Kočiš of EMC Public, Martin Štěpánek of the Lion Communications and others.

This year’s Czech Superbrands awards in the field of cultural and non-profit organizations also included the National Theatre Prague, Prague Zoo and Kapka Naděje endowment fund.
