From September 10 to October 7 2019, a travelling exhibition on Villa Tugendhat will be on display at Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania.

 

The opening will the place on September 10 2019 at 5 PM in the spaces of Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts. Before the opening a lecture about Villa Tugendhat will be held in the auditorium T 202 at 1.30 PM, presented by Bc. Barbora Benčíková from the Study and documentation centre of Villa Tugendhat.

 

The exhibition, divided into 14 comprehensive themes, presents the history and present of the Tugendhat Villa, from its design and construction in 1929–1930, to the monumental restoration that took place in the villa in 2010–2012. The exhibition also includes a screening of documentary films, Destiny Named Tugendhat and Villa Tugendhat: Renovation of a Monument 2010–2012 by Rudolf Chudoba.
