The exhibition RENOWNED BRNO VILLAS took place in the House of Arts from 17th May up until 6th August 2006 and the book of the same name from the series Renowned Villas was presented in an archive form. The publication by the authorial collective (Jan Sedlák, Iveta Černá, Dagmar Černoušková, Jindřich Chatrný, Lenka Kudělková, Jindřich Vybíral) and edited by Jan Sedlák guides readers through Brno structures focused on domestic housing from the end of the 19th century up to the present. Fifty selected buildings serve to outline not only the development of Brno villa architecture but also introduces certain architects and builders in more detail. The publication with rich pictorial documentation was published by the art agency Foibos, a.s. in cooperation with the National Monument Institute-regional workplace in Brno, with Brno City Museum and with the support of the Statutory City of Brno.
