A group of 15 photographs by the German architect Peter Zerweck became a significant addition to the SDC-VT collections in the year 2008.
Peter Zerweck from Nuremberg photographed Villa Tugendhat in August 1969. The value and importance of these shots of the exterior and interior of the building consist of their having been the seemingly first known post-war colour photographs from Villa Tugendhat (the first colour photographs were taken by Fritz Tugendhat in the 1930s). The pictures show the red xylolite floor in the main living area which replaced the original linoleum destroyed at the end of the war. Peter Zerweck consequently also provided SDC-VT with additional colour photographs (digital copies of the colour slides) which have captured a whole range of additional buildings of modern architecture in Brno in August 1969.
