Ing. Milan Knap is emeritus director of the research institute of the company SkloUnion Teplice. He graduated from the Department of Glass Technologies of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague. His teachers included the world renowned Czech scientist Prof. Otto Wichterle. Milan Knap worked in the glass industry in North Bohemia for 43 years, primarily in glass research. In connection with Villa Tugendhat, he provided valuable information regarding the history, character and production style of glass in North Bohemia during the pre-war and post-war periods.
