Is it possible to rent Villa Tugendhat?

Renting Villa Tugendhat is possible; it is subject to strict organizational limits and only with the permission of the director of the Brno City Museum or the director of Villa Tugendhat, a separate department of the Brno City Museum.

The building can only be rented outside opening hours or when no sightseeing tickets have been purchased.

The price for renting VT is governed by the valid rental price list depending on the scope and purpose of the rental (the whole building, the Technical Floor; meetings, sessions, company lectures and presentations and wedding ceremonies). You can download the rental price list here.

Unaccompanied movement of visitors in the interiors of Villa Tugendhat is not permitted.

Guided tours of the building can only take place in shortened form at the time of an ongoing rental, for a maximum of 20 persons for a fee of CZK 100 per person.

Basic safety and capacity limitations:

  • For commercial events, such as meetings, sessions, company lectures, presentations, etc. (hereinafter referred to as events), the premises of the first floor (Technical floor – former garden furniture storage, bookshop, toilets, or laundry room and coke storage) and 2nd floor (the so-called main living room) can be used.
Maximum capacity on the first floor is 100 people (we recommend max. 80 people), on the second floor it is 50 people. Participants of the event are not permitted to use the exhibited seating. Stiletto heels are not permitted in the interiors and the participants must wear protective shoe covers on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Food and drinks are only allowed on the 1st floor or outside the building.
  • Wedding ceremonies may use the main living room and the garden. The maximum number of attendants at an indoor wedding ceremony is 50 persons, outdoors it is 100 persons (max. 80 persons is recommended). Participants in the wedding ceremony (with the exception of the newlyweds during photography) are not permitted to use the exhibited seating. Except for the newlyweds and witnesses during the wedding ceremony, all participants of the event or ceremony must wear protective shoe covers on the 2nd and 3rd floors.  Stiletto heels are not permitted in the interiors.
Food and drinks are only allowed on the 1st floor or outside the building.
