On Tuesday, 6 March 2012, Villa Tugendhat was opened to the public. The first visitors attended a new extended guided tour including the technical floor of the house. It also covers a newly installed Villa Tugendhat exhibition informing the visitors about the architect, the house owners and the life of the family in the house until 1938.
During the first two weeks of renewed operation of Villa Tugendhat as an installed modern architecture landmark, the house was visited by approximately 1,500 people.
